This is our specialty parfait, made using Miyajima rice scoops made on Itsukushima, a World Heritage Site! Miyajima rice scoops are based on the motif of the Biwa, a musical instrument held by Benzaiten in a dream seen by a monk.When these rice scoops were introduced to the islanders and sold as souvenirs, they were a big hit.From then on, rice scoop making became more and more popular.At weddings in Hiroshima, it is customary for couples to take their first bite from a rice scoop, which is said to bring good fortune.
